Thing 6
This glass plate negative is part of the Tyrell Photographic Collection in the Powerhouse Museum. It is estimated to be dated at the turn of the century. It was found it in the "Commons" section of Flickr.
I found it interesting because of the age of the photo as well as the unique probability of capturing five baby Kookaburras "sitting in an old gum tree". They don't look to be laughing, but maybe they are listening attentively to the joke first.
I graduated in 2009 from Eastern Michigan University with a Baccalaureate of Science in Teacher Education Summa Cum Laude.
Major: Integrated Science;
Minor: Reading.
I'm enrolled to begin my Master's in Special Education: Learning Disabilities next Fall at EMU.
Right now, I am tackling the Montessori Certification Course for Upper Elementary 9-12 and am increasing my knowledge of effective pedagogy.
It is my intention to enlighten the minds of children through modeling and perseverance. Compensation does not come through monetary means, but through the lasting impression one can make on a child.
